The Babaji Foundation is dedicated to preserving and continuing the non-denominational teachings of Babaji and His Western Initiate, Donald Schnell.
The foundation facilitates the continuation of these teachings through online courses, blog content, films, podcasts, social network channels, and collaborative projects with conscious high souls.

life changing experience
Donald Schnell had always been a student of most things spiritual, thirsting for an understanding of my connection to God. He had been a devotee of Eastern gurus, directed a Siddha Yoga ashram, and co-authored two best sellers on alternative health.
Then, he answered a call to India that began an extraordinary spiritual adventure. Led by a mysterious Indian taxi driver, he visited temples and shrines, met holy men and a rabbi healer from Brooklyn – all of which drew out a recounting of Schnell’s own spiritual history.
Finally, at a remote temple, the meaning of his “call” became clear. Here, he encountered Babaji, the immortal yogi of ancient lore. In a series of mesmerizing, dream-like interludes, Schnell received Babaji’s blessing of prema (divine love), and he was empowered to bring the master’s “new spirituality” to the West.
Rarely has a story created such an aura of profound sacredness and revealed the divine spark which resides in each of us, ready to be summoned – as in the author’s case – to illuminate the personality. With humor and candor, Donald Schnell, Prema Baba Swamiji, has shared with us his journey toward enlightenment. It will move many to rededicate themselves to their own spiritual discipline.

It was a life-changing moment in time one early September evening riding my bike around the neighborhood with a friend. As a young pre-teen, I was hit in the eye with a stone losing my vision and eventually my eye.
From this experience including a month in a hospital, and so grateful for the nurses caring for me, I desired to spend my life helping others. After work in manufacturing management for 12 years and named in Who’s Who for American Women as a production control manager of a steel mill(Crucible Steel, Syracuse NY), I had a spiritual awakening experience.
I realized that I wanted to serve others as a way to use my gifts! Entering a helping profession, I attended Syracuse and Denver Universities to graduate as an MSW in 1987. I interned in Boulder County Hospice and learned therapeutic touch from a nurse. Later I was offered Reiki classes to help my infant daughter ill with cancer and a heart defect. Once she recovered, I was guided to become a Reiki Master by Dr. Usui in meditation.
In the University of Arizona Program for Integrative Medicine (Dr. Weil), I taught an online module about Reiki and Energy Medicine to medical doctors and mentored medical students. With other Reiki Masters, a Reiki Clinic was started at a local hospital in 1995, one of the first US hospitals to officially support energy healing for cancer patients. As an MSW in health care for 27 years, a life and health coach, energy healing teacher, and ULC ordained minister, I serve to help you achieve the personal, health, life, and business well-being you desire. This includes whole-person health coaching; energy medicine and spiritual healing sessions to remove blocks, restore harmony, balance, and an enriched happy life.
In 2020, Babaji came in meditation, asking me to assist Prema Baba Swamiji to bring love to the world. Amazed, I wondered how that would come to be. He answered, “What the avatar wills, it is done”. Trusting, I reached out to Donald Schnell, whom I had met decades earlier at a professional training. In 2021 I agreed to help the Babaji Foundation to share this spiritual yoga of love in a solid greater way with the world.
